We're pleased that our play was so well received in New York City. While we did not win the competition, we are thrilled to have been invited and for the Southern Railroad Theatre Company to have had such a solid NYC, debut!!
To be among the 5 finalist was an honor, indeed!!

The wonderful team of the Altruistic Theatre Company welcomed us and the audience roared with applause and approval for the acting and the writing in Jackson’s
 TENDING TO OTHER THINGS!
We met many other wonderful theatre makers and hope to bring the
Altruistic Company to San Francisco for a collaboration.

We plan to have a celebration for this wonderful experience in the late summer. A party to thank all those who helped us get to NYC this weekend. We will present TENDING TO OTHER THINGS featuring Co-producers Diana Brown and Susan Jackson, direction by Ann Thomas. We’ll also as we’ll also present a preview from our upcoming San Francisco show ROCKET’S RED GLARE: The Holiday Story, scheduled for December 2013.

After our sold-out run of 4GIVENESS: In a Family Way, the Southern Railroad Theatre Company returns to the Royce Gallery this September to present award winning playwright, Susan Jackson's latest additions to her Southern Universe, four new short plays united under the theme of Mercy.

4 MERCY: Friendly Fires presents a new installment to our good ol' Southern soap opera, where everyone is related by blood or marriage, where dogs rule, where road trips and backyards reveal more than just weeds----and where mercy can be found.

The plays:

ROCKETS RED GLARE 2.5:
Crazy Lacy, Nandy, Peaches, and Salacious come together in a "cometojesusmercymeeting" to determine just who ends up with whom.
Directed by Stephen Drewes

ROCKETS RED GLARE 2.75
Salacious's soft side contrasts with his ambition as he prepares to pick up his bigamist Daddy.
Directed by Diana Brown

ADOPT A HIGHWAY:
Three friends traveling three hours learn more than just three secrets; some are better left unspoken, especially when facing the law.
Directed by Ann Thomas

IN SITU:
Presents a different perspective on terminal illness, seen through the eyes of two friends; what price, friendship?
Directed by Ann Thomas

FOR I AM NOT BREAKING, part 3 (Mercy/Merci):
Socialite Marion Peallin, against her lawyer's advice, writes a letter to her soon-to-be-ex, bigamist husband; will he let her keep the one thing she wants?
Directed by Stephen Drewes

ROCKET’S RED GLARE 3.0
Nandy and Salacious, FORMER LOVERS, face-off with which opponent (Peaches or Salacious) deserves to be the next Mayor of Beaver Dam.
Directed by Susan Jackson
